About Me
My name is Amber Medina and I am an up and coming Graduate Teacher of Deakin University. My passion for teaching started at a young age, when I was given an opportunity at age 13 to assist with coaching young children calisthenics. My passion for dance and creativity has led me to become a qualified Level 1 Calisthenics coach and increased my love of teaching students, and seeing improvement and development of not only physical skills, but social and emotional skills including confidence. What drives me to be a teacher is seeing development, change, growth and students achieving outcomes over time. Not only has Calisthenics given me an outlet for creativity and teaching, but as a participant given me a high regard for teamwork and leadership.
